About the Event

The Pacific Rowing Club Row-A-Thon is a cornerstone of PRC tradition, bringing together our entire junior rowing program for a 12-hour, team-based rowing challenge in support of the equipment our athletes rely on every day.

On Saturday, January 24, PRC junior rowers will compete in teams—Red, White, and Black—rotating through scheduled rowing shifts throughout the day. Each team will work together to log as much distance as possible, demonstrating endurance, teamwork, and commitment to one another.

This event is junior-only and takes place entirely at Pacific Rowing Club’s boathouse and on the water at Lake Merced.

Why This Matters

As Pacific Rowing Club continues to grow, this fundraiser is essential to ensuring safe, equitable access to rowing for youth across San Francisco. Funds raised through the Row-A-Thon directly support equipment purchases that improve daily training, racing performance, and athlete safety.

Every junior athlete participates, and every dollar raised helps strengthen the foundation of our program.

2026 Fundraising Goal: $85,000

Funds raised will support the following 2026 equipment priorities:

New 4– (Coxless Four Shell): $21,000–$30,000
RP3 Indoor Rowers: $3,000–$4,000 each
RandallFoils (Sculling): $600–$1,200
Self-Inflating Life Jackets (10 units): $1,200–$2,000
Telemetry System (for a 4+): $5,860–$6,862
Concept2 BikeErgs (2–4 units): $2,200–$4,400
Concept2 Sweep Oars (4–6 pairs): $3,600–$5,400

These investments ensure our athletes train with modern, reliable, and safe equipment—now and for years to come.
